Getting started with Tuleap by creating a first project

You get a running Tuleap platform. Congrats. It's time to start your project! You'll be able to onboard your crew and tailor your project area to the way your team works.

1.Create a new account or login in

From the Tuleap platform homepage, create a new account at the top right, or login if you already get one.

2. Welcome on your personal page

Once logged in, you reach your personal page. It’s configurable and can contain many widgets about your activity: projects you are member of -for the moment none-, tasks and bugs assigned to you, development threads and others elements that you want to follow. You can customize your personal page as explained here.

Here, you can ask for creating a new project.

3. Starting a new project

To create a new project, click on “Projects” then “Register New Project” in the menu bar at the top. Fill-in the required fields as below and click on the "create the project " button.

Once the form submitted, your project creation is sent to the global administrators of the Tuleap platform for validation. You will receive decision notification and further instructions by email.

4. Welcome on your project workspace

Once your project has been approved by the global admin , you can enter your project and start configuring it.

Now you are in your project and more precisely on your project dashboard. You can customize it. In the menu on the left, you have the tools of the project. These tools are automatically activated with the template you've selected. But you can adapt things to you:

Now it's your turn to play!

    Bonjour,

I gotta say - nice product, but, I find that I am constantly being redirtected to other sites just to keep in touch, talk to the community, get help on the product, etc.

For example, I want to ask, "Does Tuleap install on Windows Servers ?" - I "think" I got the answer - No. I had to find this on StackOverflow. I would have thought that would have been clear in the docs, as in Windows Support : No.

Believe it or not, I'm still not sure, if or how I should proceed. Still investigating...

    Thnx,
    Nikita

Hi Nikita, Thanks for your feedback. All Tuleap documentation is reachable here : http://tuleap-documentation.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ In the full installation guide , it is specified that "Tuleap can be installed on the following Linux x86_64 systems: CentOS or RedHat 6.x is the recommended platform" . But I understand your suggestion and agree. We'll update the installation guide with a clear notice about windows. If you want, you can install Tuleap on a Centos VM on your windows. Enjoy Tuleap!

I do not have the menu "Project" on the top. I only see "Help". How could I make it appear ?

Hi Once logged in on your Tuleap instance (not a sandbox or any demo platform), you should get the link with PROJECT in the top menu barr.
