Congrats you are a Super Admin. You have all the powers on your Tuleap instance. But be careful, huge power means huge responsabilities. You can do lot of things being a global administrator of a Tuleap platform. Three of them are managing users, projects and available tools.

One Tuleap platform can host dozens, hundreds and even thousands projects and people at the same place, wherever they are. Faster to maintain, easier to manage, the centralisation of people, workspaces and tools make IT people job better

All people at the same place

Managing all users

In the “All users” view, you can manage people, activate pending account, make searches according to status (active, restricted, suspended…), export all people data in CSV format and check to how many projects they are member off.

Creating a new user

If a new user is planned to be on-board on the platform, you can create a new account from here and validate it immediately. Once done, you’ll be able to share to the new comer his login account. This is more welcome than awaiting he request a new profile.

All projects at the same place

Managing all workspaces

Here you can have a global view of all the created projects on the instance. Some are active, others pending or incomplete depending on their status. You can validate request of new projects -or not- as below. This is very important because until you do not approve the project, the requester can do nothing.

As you see some projects are public, other private. For each project, you can access the project members, and . You get all the administration rights, on all projects, even if they are private.

Validating new project

All tools at the same place

Managing all plugins

As a global administrator of the instance, you are the sole person able to install new plugins. Keep in mind that:

  • If they are not installed on the instance, they cannot be used by the users hosted on the platform. This is YOUR choice.
  • But, on the contrary, they can be installed and not used. This is each PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR ‘s choice.
  • Or, they can be installed and not available. This means you’ve decided to install them on the server but not put at people’s disposal.

These are the most used options as a global administrator. Check the complete documentation for additional explanations.
